Update 18 December 2024

A reminder regarding the statutory clock over the holiday period: The statutory clock is on hold from 20 December 2024 to 10 January 2025. Over this period there will be minimal admin support as most staff will be on annual leave.

About the team

We would like to introduce our current Consultant Support team and talk about how we manage the SPPCConsultants@ccc.govt.nz inbox.

There are three staff who primarily support you via the SPPCConsultants@ccc.govt.nz inbox: Gina Robson, Andrew Jackson and Dylan Cresswell-Miley

You will hear from one of us each month, as we are rostered monthly to monitor the inbox, starting and finishing mid-month. However, in times of absence or when required, any one of us can step in.

Helpful tips

Here are some tips to help make the administration a little easier and more consistent for everyone:

Your invoices

  • All invoices need to include the associated RMA number.
  • Please indicate whether it is an interim or final invoice.
  • Your invoices should also have a brief breakdown of what the costs are associated with. For example, 30 minutes of report writing by a senior planner.

Include your new purchase order numbers every time

  • New consents need their own purchase order (PO) number.
  • Any historic purchase order numbers you have should be ignored, and if you are unsure if the purchase order number is old, please ask.

Information is key

  • Any information relating to items such as clock holds should be forwarded to SPPCConsultants@ccc.govt.nz as evidence of the request, so we can place it on the file.
  • For any email conversations you send us for our information, please ensure to include any attachments.

s37 extensions

  • If there was a delay and the reasoning is mainly due to the applicant, or their agent, then please request an s37 extension without offering a discount.

If you need any assistance, email SPPCConsultants@ccc.govt.nz and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Road classifications

Road classifications in new subdivisions, relating to acoustic insulation rule, etc. Until roads are listed in the District Plan classification list (Appendix 7.5.12) as collector or above, they can only be considered as local roads.

This applies even if an operative district plan (ODP) indicates a road as collector or above. A plan change is required for them to be added to the District Plan classification list.
