Culture Galore is a multicultural festival that celebrates our city’s diversity with food, arts and crafts, music and dance performances.
Culture Galore is an annual event to celebrate Christchurch’s diverse ethnic culture in a fun family atmosphere.
Stage performances range from colourful traditional dances and songs from Indonesia, Korea, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, China, Fiji, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Ireland, Bangladesh and many more.
As well as these amazing performances there is a huge range of have-a-go activities, such as flax weaving, face painting, soft archery, bouncy castles, police speed radar, fire truck and evacuation challenge, and more.
You can also sample some of the appetising ethnic cuisines from one of the 40+ food stalls.
Event entry and activities are free, but there is a cost for food and craft items.
The event is supported by the Waimāero Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood and Waipuna Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton Community Boards.
