It is proposed that Redcliffs Park is sold to the Ministry of Education for relocation of Redcliffs School and that the school site is managed by the Council as a recreation reserve.

The Knights Drain project is part of the wider Land Drainage Recovery Programme (LDRP) which seeks to restore the flooding risk in Christchurch to 'pre-earthquake' levels.
