In November last year we asked for your ideas for three areas in the Governors Bay Community Centre and Pool Reserve. We received feedback from 59 people (including school children, residents and community groups). The collection of feedback allowed us to understand the community needs and preferences for the reserve. We have taken the feedback into consideration and we have created a proposed landscape plan.

We also plan to tidy up trees within the reserve, remove two small bushy trees for the pump track that will be installed and also remove five trees that are declining in health.

We now ask for your formal feedback on this proposal. All feedback will be considered by the project team, prior to a staff recommendation being made to the Banks Peninsula Community Board. The Community Board will consider the staff recommendation and community feedback prior to making a decision on whether the project should go ahead or not.

Community drop-in

We will be at the new Governors Bay Community Centre from 4.30 - 6pm on Tuesday 16 May. We hope to see you there to hear your thoughts on the proposal.
