Templeton Community Centre has the following capacities:

Hours of hire

• Monday to Sunday, 8.00am to midnight

Access

• This facility offers wheelchair access and has 1 accessible toilet
• There are ample off-street car parks
• On-street parking available

The below pricing is valid until 30 June 2024.

Main Hall hire

• $17.00 per hour for not-for-profit community groups where the booking is for community benefit and does not charge attendees.
• $32.00 per hour for not-for-profit community groups where the booking is for a community group and charges fees or takes payment.
• $86.00 per hour for commercial, business, private or celebration hire. This includes auctions, meetings, birthdays, weddings, private events, funerals etc.
• $467.00 on Friday or Saturday night for commercial business private or celebration hires from 6pm to midnight. Outside these times the hourly rate applies.

Supper Room (no charge if hired with the main hall) hire

• $15.00 per hour for not-for-profit community groups where the booking is for community benefit and does not charge attendees.
• $24.00 per hour for not-for-profit community groups where the booking is for a community group and charges fees or takes payment.
• $38.00 per hour for commercial, business, private or celebration hire. This includes auctions, meetings, birthdays, weddings, private events, funerals etc.

Cleaning fees

• Hall (and supper room if included in Hall hire by the same hirer): $180.00.
• Additional cleaning charges may apply if required.

General fees

• $80.00 security charge for bookings where the hire is:
  • Booked after 6pm Monday to Friday for 4 hours and longer.
  • Booked Saturday, Sunday or Public Holiday for 4 hours and longer.
  • At the discretion of Council staff and not limited to the events above.
• $55.00 replacement charge for lost or damaged keys/access cards.

A security guard will be present from the last hour of the hire to ensure the hirer adheres to the terms and conditions of hire and has made good the community space to the required standard.

• 15 ceiling-mounted heaters
• 20 tables
• 200 chairs (single)
• Large stage
• 2 volleyball court poles - No net is supplied, hirers to supply own net
• 3 Badminton courts - No net supplied
• 1 full-size basketball court with retractable hoop boards

Kitchen

• Zip water heater
• Commercial oven and grill
• Wash up sink
• Benchtop
• Dish steriliser
• Fridge
• Kitchen trolley
• Hirers are required to supply their own crockery, cutlery, tea towels, washing up cloths, rubbish bags and cleaning liquids
• Cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaner, broom, mop and bucket) are available in the cleaning cupboard located in the women's toilet

Conditions of hire

• Conditions of use when hiring a Council facility.
• No stiletto heels to be worn.

Health and safety

• As part of the rental agreement, you accept legal responsibility to meet evacuation plans, health and safety responsibilities and to act as the facility warden.
• All users are required to complete a pre-use form. These must then be signed, dated and left in the dropbox in the foyer of the centre.

Alcohol

• The consumption of alcohol is permitted in this facility.
• In general, bringing your own alcohol (BYO) is permitted at private functions such as weddings or birthdays.
• A special alcohol licence may be required if alcohol is part of your event, or if you are selling alcohol. Find out more about special alcohol licencing for events. Applications for special licences must be made with the alcohol licencing team at least 20 working days before the date of your event.
• Regardless of whether your event requires a special licence or not you still have the responsibility to ensure that you are providing a safe drinking environment at your event. Please read host responsibility guidelines and tips.
