Twirling with time: Philippine NZ connection

Migrants from the Philippines bring with them their culture

Enjoy a performance that tells where they come from, and how their history shaped them intellectually, emotionally, socially, religiously and economically.

Returning to the Christchurch Heritage Festival this year we present how the current Filipino students from different schools perceive their culture and identity as they twirl with time by acting, dancing, singing and narrating.  We acknowledge the Filipino-New Zealander student dancers who have acted as cultural ambassadors of the Philippine culture here since 1996.

Food stalls open from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
