The Rose Historic Chapel | the story continues

Come along to our open day and experience at your leisure the beauty of this historic chapel during the Heritage Festival.

Once a private sacred space this historic building has evolved into a central city cultural, educational and wedding venue serving the wider community.

The Rose Historic Chapel is an Early English Gothic Revival ecclesiastical style heritage building. It contains many excellent examples of early 20th century New Zealand and British craftsmanship particularly with regard to its large collection of stained-glass windows.

Listed as a Category II building by Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga, the chapel enjoys a new life as an events venue.
