Te Kaha: what was there before

Archaeologist Clara Watson will speak about the archaeological investigations that took place as part of the Te Kaha project and share what was found.

In this free talk Christchurch archaeologist Clara Watson will speak about the 2022 archaeological investigations that took place at the site of Te Kaha, the new Canterbury Multi-Use Arena.

Clara will share findings about the lives of the people that lived on this site in the nineteenth century. How the archaeological features and artefacts that were discovered reveal interesting details about what life was like for those that lived here during the nineteenth century will be shared.
