8 Decades of the 3Rs

Helen Webby returns with her Celtic harp to perform at the Rose Historic Chapel, the last remaining building on a site of Catholic education for 80 years.

The music celebrates the Irish heritage of the Sisters of Mercy, and also the Irish roots of the many young women who were educated by the order, during the eighty years of schooling on this site.

Helen returns with a programme of Celtic music to celebrate all who have been involved in teaching and learning here. Through a selection of Irish melodies, the music will evoke the heritage of the women who built and worshipped in the Rose Historic Chapel, formerly our Lady of Mercy Convent Chapel.

Doors will open at 1.30pm.

This is a non-ticketed event so to avoid disappointment arrival at a reasonable time in advance is recommended.
