Details

The existing water storage tank (suction tank) was damaged during the February 2011 earthquake and is currently out of use. There are also four wells in the park. Two are operational and two are not in use. The purpose of this project is to replace the water tank, get all four wells working, and carry out all other necessary works to ensure a safe and secure water supply.

  • Throughout the construction period the park will remain open to the public.
  • The construction will start in May 2022, with site establishment, demolition and piling for the new tank foundations all occurring in the first few months.
  • See contractors layout plan on the back of this page.
