  • The Eastern Terrace – Water Supply Main Pipeline Renewal project is moving into Phase 2 enabling works. This phase involves diverting and relocating existing underground pipes and cables to make room for the new main pipeline, which will be installed under Phase 3 in 2022.
  • The works on Croydon Street involve diverting the water main on the north side to the center of the road. During the works there will be a road closure on Croydon Street, at the end of King Street, and at the end of Huxley Street. The road closure will move along Croydon Street as work progresses. We’ll try to minimise disruption to residents as much as possible and keep access to properties on the south side of the road. Vehicle access to properties will be restricted at times, with parking available on the street, but we’ll try to minimise this as much as possible too.
  • Work will begin on 17 January and continue until mid-February.
  • All works will happen outside of private property boundaries. The image below shows the traffic diversion routes that will be set up.

See below a snip of the traffic diversion route.
