- As part of the Council’s ongoing bridge renewals program bridge A103 on Tikao Bay Road is due for replacement as the bridge has been assessed as being near end of life.

The works involve the removal of the existing bridge and stone abutments and the installation of:-
- Precast concrete box culvert units.
- Precast concrete Anchorbloc retaining wall units on the approaches.
- New timber handrails - The bridge will be closed to all vehicles for up to 7 days.
- Pedestrian access will be provided.
- The Contractor will keep affected property owners informed of actual closure dates.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
