Why |
The existing timber drain is in poor condition and is at the end of its usable life. The renewal will provide improved bank stabilisation and maintain reliable land drainage through this area. |

Details
- The works are to be undertaken on the south side of Winters Road.
- Traffic management will be in place on the north side of the road between 1 Grimseys Road and the motorway on and off lanes. There will be a two lane diversion will be in place during this period and parking restrictions will apply.
- Works will require the use of large plant and equipment for the removal of the existing drain timbers and for the construction of the new drain lining. They will be reinstating the sounding ground as they steadily progress moving eastward.
- Noise levels will increase at certain times but will be minimised where possible. The progression of the works will limit individual properties exposure to this.
- Residents can approach the contractors staff if they have specific needs where the changed road situation makes this difficult. They will try and accommodate reasonable requests where it is possible to do so.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.

Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
