Tui Street and Roa Road - water service upgrades

What

We are installing new water mains in your area. This includes trenching, pipe laying, testing (pressure and chlorination), connections, and surface reinstatement.

Why

This work is required to upgrade and replace aging water infrastructure.

Where

Tui Street (Kahu Road to Weka Road) and Roa Road (Kotare Street to Tui Street), Fendalton.

When

23 March 2026 to mid May 2026. Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm (weather/site condition dependent).

Details

  • We are replacing the water supply infrastructure in your street as the existing pipes have reached the end of their serviceable life.
  • There will be times when on street parking and vehicle access to properties is temporarily restricted. The contractor will door knock to allow residents to move vehicles if necessary.
  • Traffic impacts can be expected such as lane closures, temporary traffic lights and footpath closures while these works are being undertaken.
  • The work may result in increased dust, noise and vibrations.
  • We will try to keep any disruption to a minimum.
  • Water supply to your property will be maintained, with a separate notice being given for the shut off when connecting to the new pipes.
  • Please advise us if you have specific property access requirements e.g., medical visits, home help, large vehicle deliveries or any planned works.
