Details

From the evening of Sunday 22 February, we’ll be working on the streets surrounding One New Zealand Stadium at Te Kaha completing maintenance on sections of pavers at night.

This work is heavily weather dependent. We have allocated three weeks; however, we expect this work to take a total of one week.

Impacts:

  • At times, Barbadoes Street, Tuam Street, and Madras Street will be reduced to one lane.
  • Access to Lichfield Street and Cashel Street from Madras Street will be intermittently impacted as maintenance is completed in these areas, we’ll provide further updates a week prior to undertaking maintenance in these areas.
  • During the day, any traffic management impacts will be removed.

Isaac Construction will notify of any large impacts such as road closures through their channels. To receive updates, please scan the QR code or get in touch using the details above.

For more information on the wider project, go to ccc.govt.nz/tekahastreets.

Information for road users

  • Cyclists will need to merge with traffic through the site.
  • We will temporarily remove on-street parking to allow space for the works.
  • Please follow all signage and crew directions.
  • A 30 km/h speed limit will be in place so we can keep our team and everyone safe.

Information for residents and businesses

  • Access to properties and businesses for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists may be impacted at times. We'll aim to provide advance warning where possible.
  • We will help people to get around the site. Please advise our team if you have specific requirements e.g. medical visits, large deliveries, home help or any planned works.
  • There will be increased construction noise and vibration at times, and we will do our best to keep this to a minimum.
  • Work will have no impact on any services such as electricity, telecommunications and gas.
  • The timing of the work and certain activities will depend on the weather and the roads.
  • Please put your bins out as usual by 6am on your collection day. Our team will move them if needed.

We know this work can be disruptive and we appreciate your co-operation and understanding.
