Details
We’re installing a new signalised pedestrian crossing point on Halswell Junction Road (at the Bill Harvey walkway). A small section of Halswell Junction Road will be closed.
Traffic impacts
- From Wednesday 14 January 2026, Halswell Junction Road will be closed between 364 Halswell Junction Road and Albert Wills Ave, 24 hours a day, Monday to Friday. There will be no access through this section of Halswell Junction Road while we are working.
- Access will be reinstated from Friday afternoons until Monday mornings.
- Please use the signposted detour routes during this time.
- The speed limit around our work site is 30km/h so we can keep our workers safe.
- We’ll need to remove on-street parking, so we will place no parking signage out before we start work.
- Please be on the lookout for changes in traffic management and follow the signs.
- Our friendly staff will help people get around our site and assist with any queries.
Information for residents
- Access for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists to impacted properties within our worksite will be maintained where possible.
- Please advise our team if you have specific requirements e.g. medical visits, large deliveries, home help or any planned works.
- There will be increased construction noise and vibration at times, and we will do our best to keep this to a minimum.
- The work will have no impact on any services such as water, electricity, telecommunications and gas.
- The timing of the work and certain activities will depend on the weather and the roads.
- Please put your bins out as usual by 6am on your collection day. Our team will move them and return them if needed.
