Details

What are we doing?

We will be installing:

  • A raised pedestrian platform outside Te Ara Koropiko West Spreydon School.
  • Some minor stormwater, footpath and kerb and channel works.
  • New green cycle paint on the approaches and exits over the crossing.
  • Line marking, tactile pavers and signage.

Traffic impacts

  • During work hours, traffic will be reduced to one lane through the area we are working in.  Temporary traffic lights will be used to manage traffic through the work area. Footpaths and the pedestrian crossing may be closed while we work but will be open outside of our working hours.
  • Outside of our working hours, and on weekends, two lanes of traffic will be maintained.
  • On-street parking will be removed, so we will place no parking signage out before we start work.
  • Nearby bus stops may be temporarily shifted during the works, please keep an eye out for details at the affected stops.
  • Emergency vehicle access will be provided if required.
  • Our friendly staff will help people get around our site and assist with any queries.
  • Please be on the lookout for changes in traffic management and follow the signs.
  • The speed limit around our work site is 30kph so we can keep our workers safe.

Information for residents

  • Access for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists to impacted properties within our worksite will be maintained.
  • Please advise our team if you have specific requirements e.g.medical visits, large deliveries, home help or any planned works.
  • There will be increased construction noise and vibration at times, and we will do our best to keep this to a minimum.
  • The work will have no impact on any services such as water, electricity, telecommunications and gas.
  • The timing of the work and certain activities will depend on the weather and the roads.
  • We know this work is disruptive so we appreciate your patience and understanding.
