Where

Chancellor Street, between Shirley Road and Julius Terrace and along Julius Terrace, Richmond.

When

15 December 2025 to 18 December 2025. Monday to Thursday, 7am to 6pm (weather/site condition dependent).

Contact

The contractor is Isaac Construction Limited. Contact Hayley Ching on 027 323 0056, Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm.

Details

We’re scanning the road surface to locate essential services such as power cables and water pipes. Where services are found, we’ll cut the road seal, confirm depth and position, then resurface.

The investigation works are expected to take four days to complete. Completing these investigations will help prevent future delays and ensures we can plan construction with as little disruption as possible.

The work will involve:

  • Investigating underground services on Chancellor Street between Shirley Road and Julius Terrace and along Julius Terrace. We’ll also be locating underground services on Petrie Street and Stapletons Road.  We will be working on one street at a time.
  • Using hydro excavation and other low-impact techniques to locate key services.
  • Collecting information to support future planning and design for service upgrades.
  • A one-way traffic management system.

Please expect some disruption to access in the working area. If you have any specific property access requirements (e.g., medical visits, home help, large vehicle access deliveries or planned works), please let us know.
