Details

Road works are underway and there will be a temporary traffic management layout in place during this phase of the work. Please expect significant delays, particularly during AM and PM hours. Road users are strongly advised to consider using alternative routes or allow additional time if travelling through the Hornby - Russley area. The primary recommended detour route is via Pound Road.

SH1 Carmen Road will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction, with both lanes traveling on the western side of the central island (the northbound lanes) with straight through movement and left turn movements maintained.

There will be no right turn into Buchanans Road from SH1 Carmen Road, or entry to Buchanans Road from its western end.

Westbound bus services will continue their temporary detour via Racecourse Road.

Eastbound bus services will continue to follow their normal route.

Suggested diversions will be signposted on Johns Road ahead of Sawyers Arms Road, and Main South Road ahead of Pound Road.

Thank you for your patience while we carry out this important work.

While this is in place:
