Traffic impacts / Property access

  • To enable works to occur through this area we will require a temporary road closure from 7:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, starting Monday 1st September and continuing for approximately one month. We ask that during the working hours listed that cars are parked outside of Pentlow Place. Pedestrian access to properties will be maintained at all times during working hours. Outside of working hours, full access will be restored.
  • Please advise us via the contact information above if you have any specific property requirements e.g. medical visits, home help, large vehicle deliveries, planned works etc. and we will make sure you are accommodated.
  • If there is an emergency and you need to drive through site the during working hours noted, please notify one of our crew on site and we will do our best to accommodate your access needs. If driving through the works area in such events, please ensure you are being directed by an appointed person on site at all times.

Project scope

The work scope involves trenching 150m of a new water main and submain that will form the new water feed to your properties. We will also be potholing along the road, footpaths and berms to investigate the location of existing services. The potholing work involves a specialised plant called a hydro-truck, which can be noisy in close proximity. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

The renewal works will involve pumping underground water, trenching and excavation works. At the end of this project, the road will be completely reinstated with new asphalt.

Other details

  • Note: This is part of a larger package of works that includes a section of watermain renewal on Glandovey Road (from Thornycroft Road to the Idris Road intersection). The full project is expected to take approximately three months to complete.
  • The timing of the work and certain activities will depend on the weather and the condition of the roads. We will provide updates if there are changes to the planned works.

We know this work is disruptive, and we appreciate your co-operation and understanding over this period.
