Details

The work will take place over three nights to minimise disruption and shorten the overall duration of our work. There will still be some traffic impacts and important information for you to be aware of:

  • Evening road closures: Main South Road will be closed to eastbound traffic from State Highway 73 in the evenings. Westbound traffic on Riccarton Road will also be unable to access Yaldhurst Road. Detours will be clearly signposted.
  • Bus stop changes: Some minor changes to bus stop locations will be required while work is underway.
  • Property access: You will still be able to access your property while work is being completed. If you have specific access needs – such as medical appointments, home support services, large deliveries, or planned work at your property – please let us know in advance so we can accommodate them.
  • Noise and vibration: Some noise and vibration is expected during construction. We’ll do our best to keep this to a minimum. The noisiest activities will be scheduled at the beginning of each shift to reduce overnight disruption.
  • Daytime traffic impacts (6am–8pm): Traffic impacts during the day will be minimal. A reduced speed limit will be in place, and traffic management equipment may be visible in preparation for evening works.
  • Pedestrian access: Impacts on pedestrian access will be minimal. All changes and detours will be clearly communicated on site.
