Details

What are we doing?

We will be working overnight to replace the traffic signals and cabling at the intersection of Papanui Road, Heaton Street and Innes Road.

Please note - we will not work on Friday and Saturday nights.  Works will start at 6pm on Sunday nights and 7.30pm on weekday nights.

Traffic impacts

During our working hours, the current traffic lights at the intersection will be turned off and access will be maintained and controlled with temporary traffic lights. Outside of our working hours, the intersection will be returned back to normal.  Please expect delays during our working hours.

Pedestrian access will be maintained, and our friendly staff will help people get around our site.

We will need to restrict some on-street parking throughout the project, so we will place no parking cones out before we start work.  We will aim to minimise this as much as possible.

A 30km/h speed limit will be in place so we can keep our workers and everyone safe.  Please be on the lookout for changes in traffic management and follow the signs.

Night works

Due to the high traffic volumes in this area, work must be completed at night. The crew need lights to see what they are working on, so you may notice extra light coming from the street. There will be noise from trucks, machinery and the crew working overnight.

We know that night works can be more disruptive, and we appreciate your cooperation and understanding.  We will aim to get the most disruptive work carried out first and to complete the work as quickly as we can.
