Why |
This initial phase of work involves pothole investigation of existing services as part of the Wastewater Renewal Project, which is due to commence mid-July. We aim to maintain all our Service Assets so that they are safe, last longer and operate efficiently. |

3 March 2025 to 21 March 2025, Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm including an overnight shift at the Carmen Road intersection (weather/site condition dependent). |

Details
The site investigation works will include finding the existing sewer laterals and other services crossing these laterals. We will be using hydro excavation to locate and survey the existing services. This is to help us with the design of the sewer upgrade on Buchanans Road.
What You Need to Know
- There will be traffic cones and construction vehicles whilst work is being carried out.
- Two lanes of traffic and pedestrian access will be always maintained.
- Work will be rescheduled if the weather is bad.
- There may be periods of noise and vibration, although we will aim to keep this to a minimum.
- The traffic management will be removed from site each day.
Driveway access
Access to properties will be maintained. However, we may need to work in front of driveways from time to time. We will try to give you plenty notice of this. However, if you need to get into or out of your property and we are in the way, please just talk to one of our friendly staff and we will make sure you can use your driveway.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
