WHAT WE ARE DOING?

We will be installing:

  • A raised pedestrian crossing on the existing crossing on Waltham Road.
  • A speed hump on Hastings Street East, near Vienna Street.
  • Undertaking some minor stormwater, footpath and kerb and channel works.
  • Line marking, tactile pavers, and green surfacing.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

Waltham Road and Hargest Crescent

Monday 20 January - Friday 24 February

  • There will be a 24 hour road closure in place on Hargest Crescent at Waltham Road with no vehicle access during this time.
  • Please allow extra travel time if you will affected by the closure.

Hastings Street East

Tuesday 21 January - Thursday 23 January

  • A nightly road closure (7pm - 5am) will be in place on Hastings Street East at the Waltham Road intersection with no vehicle access during this time.
  • Please allow extra travel time if you will be affected by the closure.
  • Works will be completed at night, between 7pm and 5am.

Monday 27 January - Friday 31 January

  • A 24 hour one way traffic management system will be in place on Hastings Street East, between Vienna Street and Waltham Road with no access for traffic travelling towards Waltham Road.
  • Please allow extra travel time if you will be affected by the one way traffic management system.

A 30km/h speed limit will be in place so we can keep our workers and everyone safe. Please be on the lookout for changes in traffic management and follow the signs.

INFORMATION FOR RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES

  • For the duration of the project, all on-street parking close to our work site will be temporarily removed to allow for safe working space.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.  If you may need to be escorted, please speak to staff onsite.
  • There will be increased construction noise and vibration at times, but we will do our best to keep this to a minimum.
  • The timing of the work and certain activities will depend on the weather and the condition of the roads. We will provide updates if there are changes to the planned works.
  • Please advise us via the contact information above if you have any specific property requirements e.g. medical visits, home help, large vehicle deliveries or any planned works.
  • Work will have no impact on any services such as electricity, telecommunication and gas.

DRIVEWAY ACCESS

Driveway access to properties will be maintained. However, we may need to work in front of  driveways from time to time. We will try and give you plenty of notice for this. However, if you need to get in and out of your property and we are in your way, please just talk to one of the Fulton Hogan staff members and they will make sure you can use your driveway.
