Details

We’re doing remedial road levelling work between Mersey Street and the St Francis of Assisi School crossing. This work relates to our Innes Road street renewal project.

This remedial work will be completed over one day and will include removing the top surface of sections of the road in the work area using a milling machine, and then asphalting the section of road immediately after.

This work is weather dependent so if we are not able to complete the work for any reason, it will be extended to/rescheduled for the next day, Friday 6 December.

Traffic Impacts

There will be traffic management in place whilst this work is completed, as well as machinery working and truck movements, so please take care when moving through the site.

  • Innes Rd between Mersey St and the St Francis of Assisi School crossing will remain as two lanes of traffic, in each direction, while the works are being completed.
  • Whilst the works take place, there will be a speed reduction to 30km/h in this section to keep everyone safe.

Driveway Access

Vehicle and pedestrian access will be maintained while the works are being completed. However, if you find yourself needing to exit or enter your driveway and construction vehicles are in the way, please be patient and follow these steps:

  • Stop and wait at the end of your driveway or ready to enter your driveway.
  • Wait for construction vehicles to pass your driveway, this should only take a couple minutes.

Ngā mihi nui, thanks for your patience while we complete this work.
