Bordesley Street - water sub-main renewals

What

We are replacing the water supply pipes in your street, which are part of the annual renewals project.

Why

The existing pipes have reached the end of their service life and require replacing.

Where

Bordesley Street, between Ferry Road and Harrow Street, Phillipstown.

When

21 October 2024 to 30 January 2025. Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm (weather/site condition dependent).

The contractor is Trenching Dynamix. Phone Bishow Tripathee, 027 208 4139, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Please advise us if you have specific property access requirements e.g. medical visits, home help, large vehicle deliveries, planned works.

Details

  • There may be times when vehicle access to properties is temporarily restricted. The contractor will door knock beforehand to allow residents to move vehicles if necessary.
  • Traffic impacts can be expected such as shoulder closures, temporary traffic lights and footpath closures while these works are being undertaken.
  • The work may result in increased dust, noise and vibrations. We will try to keep any disruption to a minimum.
  • Water supply to your property will be maintained, with a separate notice being given for the shut off when connecting to the new pipes.
  • The site will be tidied up and disestablished over the Christmas period.
