Details
- As part of the Greers/Langdons Traffic Lights installation, we have been reconstructing the road at the Greers/Langdons Road intersection. Due to emergency watermain works that took place last week we need to return to complete the final asphalt layer on Greers Road.
- We are completing this work at night to reduce disruption on traffic during the day. The contractor’s team will be working hard to complete this work as quickly as possible.
- This will be under a Stop/Go layout which means the road will be open but reduced to one lane. Traffic will be able to pass through in both directions. There will be delays so please leave extra time for this in your journeys.
- There will be increased construction noise and vibration at times, but we’ll do our best to keep this to a minimum.
- Once this work is completed, the road resurfacing work will be complete, and the final traffic signals works can take place.
- This work is weather dependent, so if it is wet then the resurfacing work will be moved to the following day. We’ll provide updates if there are changes to the planned work. To receive this update via text message, please send us your contact information via the contact information above.
Traffic Impacts
- The Stop/Go will be in place on Greers and Langdons Road from 7pm on Thursday 17 October and finish at 6am on Friday 18 October.
- Reynolds Avenue will remain closed at the intersection with Greers Road.
- While this work takes place, all on-street parking within the work area shown on the map will be temporarily removed to allow for safe working space.

Other work in the area
- Whilst the nightworks on Greers Road are in place, there will be a nightly closure (10pm - 6am) at the Langdons Road railway crossing. Please allow for extra time for your travel if the crossings are on your journey.

Information for residents and businesses
- Access to properties and businesses for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained around the work site. At times, cyclists may be asked to dismount and use the footpath. Please follow the signage provided and feel free to speak to the Isaac Construction staff on site.
- Driveway access to properties will be maintained. However, we may need to work in front of driveways from time to time. We will try and give you plenty of notice for this. However, if you need to get in and out of your property and we are in your way, please just talk to one of the Isaac Construction staff members, and they will make sure you can use your driveway.
- Please put your bins out as usual by 6am on your collection day. Our team will move them and return them if needed.
We know this work can be disruptive, and we appreciate your co-operation and understanding.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
