Details

As from 30 September the following work will be undertaken on Rhona Street.

We will be installing:

  • Two Speed humps.
  • New gardens and landscaping.
  • Undertaking some minor stormwater works.
  • Footpath works.
  • A pedestrian island with speed humps at the intersection of Rhona Street and Buckleys Road.

Potential impacts on traffic:

  • There will be a number of traffic management layouts implemented while the work is completed. These will be a variation of temporary road closures, shoulder closures, lane drops and temporary on-street parking removal.
  • Please check your letter box regularly for updates.
  • Please allow time for delays and plan your trip accordingly.
  • Please follow the directions provided by the onsite traffic management team at all times.

Potential impacts of work:

  • Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. If you need to be escorted, please speak to staff onsite.
  • Increased construction noise and disturbance may be encountered, but the contractor will try to keep this to a minimum.
  • There may be times when vehicle access to your property is restricted. This will be temporary and we will communicate beforehand so you can move your vehicles if necessary.
  • Please advise us via the contact information above if you have any specific property requirements e.g. medical visits, home help, large vehicle deliveries or planned works.
  • The timing of the work is dependent on weather and road conditions so we will provide regular updates during construction.
  • Work will have no impact on any services such as electricity, telecommunication and gas.
