Details

As part of the Greers/Langdons Road traffic lights installation we need to install a new stormwater pipeline across Greers Road on the north side of the Greers/Langdons Road intersection.  Due to the heavy volumes of traffic on Greers Road, we are completing this work at night to reduce daytime traffic congestion, complete the works quicker and to keep the workers safe.

Whilst we have scheduled noisier tasks to be completed earlier in the night, there will be some noise from machinery and the crew working.  We will do our best to keep this to a minimum.

To complete this work overnight, we will be installing a temporary stop-go system at the intersection.  Please see below for more information about the traffic impacts.  We know this work is disruptive and we appreciate your cooperation and understanding.  We are working to complete the project as quickly as possible.

Traffic impacts

  • A three-way stop-go system will be in place while we complete this work overnight, which means that traffic can still travel along Greers Road and along Langdons Road in all directions whilst we are working, however, the road will be reduced to one lane.  Please allow extra time to avoid delays.
  • Reynolds Avenue will remain closed at the Greers Road intersection.
  • The speed limit will remain at 30km/h through the work area.
  • Please look out for our contractors working on the road and follow signage on site.  If you need any help, please approach a staff member who will be able to assist.

Information for residents and businesses

  • Access to properties and businesses for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained around the worksite.
  • Please advise us if you have specific property access requirements e.g. medical visits, home help, large vehicle deliveries, planned works.
  • There will be increased construction noise and vibration at times, and we will do our best to keep this to a minimum.
  • The timing of the work and certain activities will depend on the weather and the roads.  We will provide updates if there are changes to the planned works.
