Details
- As we approach the completion of the rock revetment works, we will start to re-build isolated sections of the Promenade, before applying an asphalt surface. The exposed soil in the landscape shoulder will be grassed to help stabilize the soil over summer.
- The Promenade will need to be closed from Monday to Friday as we undertake this works, however, will be opened back up over the weekend where it is safe to do so.
- Pedestrian access to the beach will be maintained where possible; please use the designated access points where existing steps/ramps are located.
- Possible delays to pedestrians when trucks are crossing access points. Please follow the directions provided by the onsite traffic management team at all times.
- Construction noise and disturbance may be encountered but the contractor will endeavour to keep this to a minimum.
- Trucks will access site from Heberden Avenue and exit on to the Esplanade Road by Scarborough, so there may be minor traffic delays in this area.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
