Koukourarata Stream, Port Levy – bridge clearing

What

Council is undertaking clearing of flood debris under the Koukourarata Stream bridge.

Why

Council periodically undertakes bridge maintenance to ensure they are safe and work effectively. At the Koukourarata Stream bridge we are removing a build up of flood debris to mitigate backing up of high level stream flows under this bridge.

Where

When

Works will start 30 September 2024 and are expected to take 6-9 days to complete. Site work hours will be Monday to Saturday, 7.30am to 5.30pm (weather/site condition dependent). We need stable and low stream flows to undertake this work safely and efficiently.
