Details

From Monday 2 September we’ll be making safety improvements to the guard rail outside #6 to #14 Dyers Pass Road. This work will involve making repairs to the existing guard rail and installing a small new section in response to a history of crashes at this location.

We recently finished safety improvements at the Dyers Pass Road / Colombo Street roundabout, following several months of work. We waited to finish that work before making these guard rail repairs to reduce disruption in the area.

Impacts on traffic

  • Dyers Pass Road will be reduced to one lane past the work site and Stop / Go System will be put in place during off-peak hours of 9am - 3pm.
  • Traffic management staff will be available to help direct residents and business owners to their properties within the work area. Please contact us in advance if you have specific access needs we need to be aware of.
  • Pedestrian access to footpaths will be maintained through the site. Please follow signage and the directions of our temporary management staff.

Impacts of work

  • Property access will be maintained where possible. We’ll coordinate with residents during the work. Please let us know if you have any specific property access needs e.g. medical visits, home help, large vehicle deliveries or planned works.
  • We’ll need to temporarily remove on-street parking where we are working. Cones will indicate where parking will not be available during construction.
  • Please put your bins out as usual by 6am on your collection day. Our team will move them and return them, if needed.
  • There will be increased noise, dust, and vibration from the use of machinery for activities such as saw cutting, soil excavation, and guard rail installation.
  • We need fine weather for the guard rail installation and work may be delayed in the event of wet weather.

We know this work can be disruptive, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
