Details
What are we doing?
- We are extending the South Express Cycleway further west, by upgrading the existing footpath to a 3.5-metre-wide shared pathway along Waterloo Road, adjacent to Kyle Park.
Traffic impact
- Our fenced worksite will be located on the southern road shoulder of Waterloo Road, along the border of Kyle Park.
- Traffic management will be in place along Waterloo Road to maintain two lanes of traffic. Please follow the signage. The speed limit will be reduced to 30km/h.
- There will be no street parking on either side of Waterloo Road for the length of Kyle Park. Residents and people wanting to access Kyle Park can park on Hei Hei Road, Taurima Street, Tinokore Street, Amuri Street, or Smarts Road.
- The footpath on the north side of Waterloo Road will be open throughout these works. Safe pedestrian crossings will be positioned at the western end of the works and a signalised crossing near Hei Hei Road. Pedestrian access to Kyle Park will remain at each end of Kyle Park, at either end of the fenced site.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
