Details

From Wednesday 31 July 2024, we’ll be working on the water mains in Whitehall Street and Fernbrook Place.

To complete this work, we will need to install a one-way traffic management system on Whitehall Street. This work will also involve a full road closure of Fernbrook Place.

While this is in place:

  • Traffic traveling southbound along Whitehall Street will be able to proceed.
  • Traffic wanting to travel northbound along Whitehall Street from Fernbrook Place will be detoured via Hills Road.
  • Resident access to Fernbrook Place will be maintained at all times.
  • There will be no on street parking.
  • There will be traffic management in place, please follow the signage and detours.
  • During work, we will maintain access where possible. Our on-site team will keep residents informed of any access restrictions.
  • We will maintain access to residential properties when we are not working.
  • We will reduce the traffic management impacts when it is safe to do so.
  • Water supply to your property will be maintained, with a separate notice being given when a shut-off is required.
  • The works may result in increased dust, noise and vibrations.

Please expect disruption to access at times in the working area.

Please advise if you have any specific property access requirements e.g., medical visits, home help, large vehicle access, deliveries, planned works etc.

Cyclists will be merged with the traffic lanes. Please drive and ride with care.

Speed will be reduced to 30km/h through the work area.

Pedestrian access to footpaths will always be maintained with detours in place from time to time. Please follow signage and instructions of our temporary traffic management teams.
