Details

  • When Stage 2 is complete the intersections at Nancy Ave, Ethne Street, Thames Street and Severn Street will be reopened and traffic management will reduce between St Francis of Assisi School and Severn Street.

  • Stage 3 works will include full excavation of the road, a new asphalt surface, new kerb and footpath, raised pedestrian crossings and new pedestrian islands. We are also upgrading the water supply and stormwater infrastructure at the same time.

  • The footpath on the southern side of Innes Road will be closed from St Francis of Assisi School to 402 Innes Road. Access to the Mairehau shops and Mairehau Primary School will be available for the duration of the works.

  • A temporary pedestrian crossing will be installed at the eastern end of the Mairehau shops for residents, shop customers and Mairehau Primary School.

  • Properties may have access to their property restricted between the hours of 7.00am and 5.30pm dependent on the work being undertaken on that day. We will notify you in advance if your property will be affected on any given day. In the event of an emergency, we will be able to restore access to your property promptly.

  • Property access will be restored by the end of each day. Please don’t hesitate to contact the construction team if you have any specific access requirements.

  • Upon exiting properties on the southern side either by vehicle or by foot, look both ways before crossing the construction site and then onto the road. Please adhere to temporary signage and cones on site to keep everyone safe.

  • For those with even house numbers on Innes Rd we also ask that you please place your bins on the opposite side of the road to ensure collection on a Monday. The HEB team will follow up with the bin collection company in the case of bins being missed.

  • If you have any questions or specific requirements for property access (i.e. for medical visits, home help, large vehicle deliveries/moving or any other planned work on your property) please get in touch with Zane from HEB on 027 320 3285
