Fyfe Road Pump Station - improvements

What

We are carrying out improvements on the pump station on the intersection of Fyfe Road and Bennington Way.

Why

These works will replace the current wastewater pump chamber with a new chamber.

When

29 April 2024 to mid-September 2024, Monday to Saturday, 7am to 6pm (weather/site condition dependent).

Details

We will be working on the wastewater pump station on the corner of Fyfe Road and Bennington Way from Monday 29 April for up to five months.

Information for residents

  • There will be construction noise and vibration during work hours, and you may hear temporary pumps running overnight from time to time. We will do our best to keep this to a minimum.
  • The work will have no impact on any services such as wastewater, water, electricity, telecommunications or gas.
  • Please continue to put your rubbish out as normal; we will ensure that bins are moved if necessary to ensure the truck can empty them and return them if needed.

Traffic impacts

  • From time to time, one-way traffic management will be in place, preventing access to Fyfe Road from Bennington Way. Please follow the detour signs.
  • We will notify you of these closures in advance, resident access will be maintained.
  • Footpath access around the work site will be maintained.
  • A 30kph speed limit will be in place to keep everyone safe.
  • Please be vigilant for changes in traffic management.
