Details
- The works will involve relocating power and telecommunication cables, demolishing the existing bridges and installing precast structures for the bridge.
- The works will happen on one bridge at a time to minimise impacts on the traffic flow in the area.
- Starting at Poynder Avenue bridge and moving to Garden Road bridge after.
- The road area where the bridge is located will be closed and no traffic or pedestrians will be allowed during the construction works.
- Detours will be put in place to minimise road user disruption.
Work Impacts
- The work will be noisy sometimes while we complete demolition of the existing bridges and piling works, but the team will try to have this type of work completed as soon as possible.
- Some on-street parking will be restricted along the street for safety reasons.
- There will be an increased number of trucks and machinery moving through the area.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.

Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
