Details
What are we doing?
- We are constructing a shared path cycleway through the rail corridor between Tuckers Road and Sturrocks Road and between Barnes Road and Main North Road. (The section between these points, through Barnes Reserve, is already complete.)
- As part of the works to extend the cycleway, the railway level crossing at Barnes Road needs to be upgraded. This will include track formation, track works and footpath replacement. Note: There is only a footpath on one side of Barnes Road – the southern side of the railway level crossing.
Traffic Impacts
- Road closure - During the road closure on either side of the Barnes Road railway crossing, a detour route will be in place, with signage to redirect traffic around the closure.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
