Details

What are we doing?

  • We are constructing a shared path cycleway through the rail corridor between Tuckers Road and Sturrocks Road and between Barnes Road and Main North Road. (The section between these points, through Barnes Reserve, is already complete.)
  • As part of the works to extend the cycleway, the railway level crossing at Barnes Road needs to be upgraded. This will include track formation, track works and footpath replacement.  Note: There is only a footpath on one side of Barnes Road – the southern side of the railway level crossing.

Traffic Impacts

  • Road closure - During the road closure on either side of the Barnes Road railway crossing, a detour route will be in place, with signage to redirect traffic around the closure.
