Details

Work on Olivine Street will be carried out in two stages.

Stage one. Contractor will repair kerb and channel, cracks, potholes, kerb and channel damage and any additional road damage.

Once repairs have had time to settle, the final surfacing layer over the whole area will be applied. This could mean up to six months before the final resurfacing is applied. We’ll be in touch again before stage two.

  • Temporary traffic management (road cones, signs and barriers) will be in place for the duration of the works.
  • On-street parking will be unavailable in the construction area.
  • Access to properties will be temporarily limited on sections where work is being undertaken with the priority give way. However, access to residents will be maintained after working hours. Temporary traffic management (temporary road closure) will be used to manage this access and the speed of vehicles through the work site.
  • Please let us know if you have any specific requirements for property access i.e., medical visits, home help, large vehicle deliveries/moving, or other planned work on your property.
  • Residue from new surfaces, like asphalt and chipseal, can stick to your shoes or tyres after the first few days of works being completed. Please be mindful of this when entering your garage or home. Be assured that Council have been working with contractors to source new products that limit the chances of this occurring and have already been trialling products across the wider Christchurch area.
  • Surfaces may be uneven at times; we will aim to minimise this.
  • Work will be rescheduled if weather is bad.

This work may cause noise and vibration at times, but we will make every effort to keep disruption to a minimum. We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we do this work.
