High Street - Tram Track Works : Christchurch City Council

What	Work to the tram tracks.
Why	The tracks will be upgraded and the contractor will also be replacing some of the components that haven’t been working quite right
Where	Southern end High Street to Poplar Street outside of C1 and Vodafone (One NZ) .
When	4th September 2023 to 27th October 2023, 7am to 6pm (weather/site condition dependent).
Contact	The contractor is Fulton Hogan. Phone 0800 ROAD FH (0800 7623 34), Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm. Please advise us if you have specific property access requirements e.g. large vehicle deliveries, planned works & events.

Work is now able to be undertaken to complete and repair the tram tracks.
Road closures will be in place until works move off these areas.
Pedestrian access will be maintained down both Poplar Lane & High Street.
We know disruption to the central city can be inconvenient for residents and local business, so we’ll be working hard to minimise the impacts and will be providing regular updates.

Noise

There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.

Safety

Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.

Bins

Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
