Details
Work will take place in the whole area bound by the Ōtākaro Avon River, Pages Road and Anzac Drive. The resulting plan can be seen on the next page.
The main aspect of work is divided into three phases. This will be a controlled but not continuous activity:
- Move the discovered contaminated material from within the Waitaki project site to the sites identified within the red boxes (refer to diagram) and secure it within the site boundary. The area will be fenced off and capped as per the necessary regulations to ensure there is no harmful exposure to the environment
- Secure the material with an earthen bund around its perimeter for added environmental protection measures
- Landscape the area

Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.

Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
