Papanui West - slow speed neighbourhood : Christchurch City Council

What	We are improving road safety by installing a slow speed neighbourhood. Works include speed sign gateways and road markings at specific road intersections.
Why	To make communities safer by managing vehicle speed in neighbourhoods and outside schools.
Where	Papanui – between Main North Road, Harewood Road, Greers Road, Northcote, and Vagues Road.
When	29 March 2023 to 31 March 2023. Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm (weather/site condition dependent).
Contact	The contractor is Higgins Contractors Ltd. Phone 03 348 8010, Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm.

The works will cause minimal disruption at the intersections where the signage is to be installed as they are minor works.
The contractor will be working outside of peak traffic times. Road markings will be done at night.

Noise

There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.

Safety

Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.

Bins

Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
