Hereford Street (Linwood) - wastewater renewals : Christchurch City Council

What	We are renewing the wastewater pipes in your street.
Why	The pipes have reached the end of their service life and require replacing.
Where	Hereford Street from Fitzgerald Avenue to England Street, Linwood.
When	27 March 2023 to late September 2023. Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm (weather/site condition dependent).
Contact	The contractor is Fulton Hogan Ltd. Phone 0800 762 334, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Advise us if you have specific property access requirements e.g., medical visits, home help, large vehicle deliveries, planned works.

This street is one of a package of works across Linwood, including Trent Street, Gloucester Street, Worcester Street, Raglan Street, Dearsley Street and Nursery Road. The work will progress in three separate locations with the first two crews starting at different ends of Hereford Street
Traffic flows on Hereford Street west of Stanmore Road, will be reduced to one eastbound lane, with a detour for westbound traffic. Traffic flows on Hereford Street east of Stanmore Road will encounter staged road closures that will progressively shift as work is completed
Vehicle access to your property may be restricted at times during the works. The Contractor will make contact to discuss timing, and work to minimise the disruption
The works may result in increased dust, noise and vibrations. We will try to keep any disruption to a minimum, and we apologise in advance for any inconvenience
Wastewater services to your properties will be continuously maintained

Noise

There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.

Safety

Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.

Bins

Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
