Details
From Monday 16 January, we will be working on Suva Street between Middleton Grange School and Middleton Road. The stormwater pipes are being replaced because they’re old and have reached the end of life. This work is separate to the recently completed cycleway project.
Traffic Impacts
- From Monday 16 January, for approximately 2 weeks, Suva Street will be closed between Middleton Grange School and Middleton Road. Please note - the road closure will be installed in a staggered layout (50m at a time) and residents will be individually liaised with regarding access during this time.
- From Monday 30 January, until the beginning of June, Suva Street will be one way eastbound, between Middleton Grange School and Middleton Road.
- Please be on the lookout for changes to the traffic management and our friendly on-site staff can also assist with any queries. Pedestrian access will be maintained around our work site. The speed limit around our work site is 30kph to keep our workers safe. We know this work is disruptive, so we appreciate your patience and understanding.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
