Parklands Reserve – hard surface renewals : Christchurch City Council

What	Renewal of the existing driveway entrance, building apron, basketball court and paths.
Why	We are continuing with the renewal program of the existing hard surfaces within the reserve with the basketball court and paths next to be completed. These works will create smooth surfaces, removing tripping hazards and potholes from around the reserve and community centre for improved pedestrian safety.
Where	Parklands Reserve
When	Mid-Febuary 2023 to late March 2023. Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm (weather/site condition dependent).
Contact	The contractor is City Care Ltd. Phone 0508 City Care, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Please advise if you have specific access requirements which could be affected during this process.

The basketball court will be temporarily closed to the public for a short period of time while works are completed in this area.
Temporary site fencing and signs will be in place to help direct the public around the site to help maintain access into the
community centre.
Spotters will be on site to safely assist pedestrians and motorist around the construction zone during this time.
There will be heavy machinery operating at this time with construction plant and vehicle movements taking place during the day.
Sections of the pathways around the reserve may be closed for a period during the works. There may be increased noise and dust during these works.

Noise

There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.

Safety

Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.

Bins

Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
