Stunning views over the Canterbury Plains and Lyttelton. A great track if you want to test your navigation skills through lava flows and boulders.
Grade: 4, advanced. Steep, narrow, poor traction, difficult to avoid obstacles. Exposed on the outside edge. There may be sections that riders find easier to walk.
Start: East end of Rapaki car park, Port Hills.
Finish: Witch Hill Scenic Reserve, beside the Summit Road.
Access: Cycle up the Rapaki Track or access from Summit Road.
Signage: None.
Description: Climb 70m up a smooth, shared-use track to the beginning of the mountain bike track.
The track makes its way around Rapaki Rock and Witch Hill.
