The district boundary displayed on the planning maps and property search was sourced from the Statistics NZ geographic data service dataset Territorial Authority 2017 (generalised version).
The location of the airport protection surfaces as shown on the Planning Maps and Property Search is indicative only. The surfaces shown have been calculated using runway end coordinates surveyed in June 2014. These coordinates may be subject to minor variation due to additional earthquake-related movement, changes to the operational requirements of the aircraft control network and additional survey work.
Plan users should seek advice from Christchurch International Airport Ltd (CIAL) at the time of development to confirm the most up-to-date coordinates from which to calculate the location of the protection surfaces and may need to undertake additional survey work to confirm the post-earthquake location of the affected property relative to the airport runway ends.
