We need fresh ideas at the Council table.
I recently bought my first home in Beckenham with my partner, Caroline, having lived in south Christchurch for the past ten years. I have been privileged to serve you on the Community Board for three years.
As a community, I'm proud we achieved a permanent site for the South Christchurch Farmers Market, a 40kph zone in Beckenham and transitional school crossing and intersection improvements. We have secured $10 million for safety-focussed traffic works in south Christchurch and fought for upgrades to intersections like Cashmere/Dyers and Cashmere/Barrington.
I'll be a prudent steward of Council finances.
Together, we can achieve a restored Ōpāwaho-Heathcote River, act on climate change, plant more trees, and transform transport to low-carbon modes: electric vehicles, safe cycleway, more better buses, and light rail in Christchurch.
And let's get the work at South Library done.

I've lived in Saint Martins for much of my life.
Having experienced earthquakes and floods and seen the Port Hills burn, I'm about to graduate with a degree focused on environmental law, and huge motivation to address climate change. Already active volunteering in our community, I've established a riverbank care group and presented to Council about local issues.
We know what our community needs: to clean up our rivers, plant more trees, make our streets safer, and long-term protection from floods, summer fires and heatwaves. To get started, I want us to set a goal of planting 100,000 trees across our Community Board area.
We need to protect the best of what we have while building the city we want to live in. Let's build a modern, vibrant Garden City of livable neighbourhoods and people-friendly streets, set in a flourishing natural environment. Thanks for your time!

I work collaboratively to get things done but I won't hold back from strong advocacy on behalf of our community.
We need a restored South Library and an interim library to keep services in our area. Over the last three years as your Community Board member I've worked with residents to deliver on traffic safety, whether that's a 40kph zone in Beckenham with transitional improvements to intersections and school crossings, working with central government and council to secure $10m million for traffic works, or safer crossings on Tennyson Street.
Transport choices are vital for our community: more buses, delivering light rail, every child having safe walking and cycling routes to their school, and accelerating local cycleways.
I will keep working with the community to restore the Ōpāwaho-Heathcote River with strong regulations to reduce harmful run-off and planting more trees in our streets and on the Port Hills.

I'm seeking re-election to ensure we get our priorities right, with increased transparency and financial nous for all ratepayers. I have a strong track record and deliver for our communities in a collaborative and positive manner.
My priorities: Ramping-up conservation alongside restoring our urban rivers; Protecting our precious water resources; Reducing public transport gaps; Improving basic services and responsiveness. Keeping our assets to maintain affordability of our rates; and securing regional investment through Central Government, so we can plan for our future and tackle climate change.
I established Habitus Group in 2019 - to follow another passion in delivering affordable and sustainable high performance homes to the NZ market, often for first time buyers.
I also have broad volunteer experience as a Rotarian, youth mentor and through my conservation efforts. I'm motivated, approachable and always have an open door.
