The Walking Festival
Providing Cantabrians a chance to hōpara, ako me hono, explore, learn and connect with 55-plus amazing walks in Ōtautahi, Selwyn and Waimakiriri.

Whether you’re a fan of local history, getting out into nature, socialising or pushing yourself to get that awesome view, there’s something for all ages and abilities.
To view all the walks available, pick up a Walking Festival booklet from your local Library, Recreation and Sport Centre.
The Walking Festival is coordinated by the Christchurch City Council, in partnership with over 30 walking host groups, who are with us every step of the way!
