Yifan Yang – Piano

Award-winning international pianist in concert. Yifan chose Christchurch as his home and now studies at the University of Canterbury.

Chinese-born Yifan has been playing the piano since she was 8 years old. She has won numerous International Awards in Asia and Europe and has chosen to live in Christchurch and study piano with Tim Emerson at the University of Canterbury.

This concert is part of the Rising Stars Concert Series 2023(external link). A new Tuesday lunchtime concert series that’s encouraging, supporting, nurturing and providing a performance platform for emerging young musicians.
